This position is not currently funded and is pursuant on MCSG being awarded this contract.

Job Summary: Support the planning, development, execution, and analysis of joint exercises and wargames. Wargame events may include wargames, Tabletop Exercises (TTXs), Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills, and seminars. Both joint exercises and wargame events may include current and future Calendar/Fiscal Year (FY) planning and coordination activities. All exercises and war gaming products will be directed, reviewed, and approved by unit government entity. The Exercise Support Branch requires subject matter expertise in the following areas: Mission Area SMEs for SATCOM, GPS, On-Orbit, Space Domain Awareness, Cyber, Missile Warning, Special Technical Operations, Exercise Planner Scenario Design SME, Joint Training Management Systems, Cyber Intel SME, JOPES SME, and Intel SME. The Wargaming Branch requires expertise in the following areas: Interagency SME, Information Management / Knowledge Manager, Wargaming SME, and Emulation Support SME.

Primary Duties:

  • Providing on-site support and assistance to plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint exercises and wargames, establish the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for USSPACECOM Tier 1 exercises, Joint Task Force Space Defense (JTF-SD) Tier 2 exercises, and Combined Forces Space Component Command (CFSCC) Tier 2 exercises, and support to all reciprocal events at other Combatant Commands.
  • For each joint exercise or wargame event, assist in the development, coordination, and management of the plan of action and milestones (POA&M) to track key actions and deliverable dates for each designated event’s life cycle. There will be approximately eight events per calendar year.
  • For each joint exercise or wargame event, assist with the planning, coordination, and support for conferences such as the Concept Development Conference (CDC); Initial Planning Conference (IPC); Mid-Planning Conference (MPC); Final Planning Conference (FPC); and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Synchronization Conference (SYNCH). This may require work outside normal hours and locale.
  • Support pre-conference planning to include site selection/set-up, development, and distribution of announcements, creation of the agenda and briefing materials, and security registration.
  • Assist in on-site coordination to include attendee check-in, security issue/problem resolution, document control, and coordination with the host facility, take minutes and keep accurate notes.
  • Support post-conference activities to include site tear-down, developing and e-mailing the conference proceedings, generation of lessons learned and final reports, publishing conference notes/working group out-brief slides, and posting each to the respective exercise website.
  • For each joint exercise or wargame event, chair planning work groups as determined by the joint exercise or wargame lead planner and Division Chief. Work group chair responsibilities include developing training objectives and design joint exercise or wargame event scenarios to satisfy accomplishment of training objectives.
  • Develop Master Scenario Events and implementers in the accomplishment of training objectives.
Position Requirements

Experience: 10 years of relvant experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Secuirty Clearance: Active TS/SCI
