As well as, apply descriptive statistical data to business operations and present recommendations to management in a meaningful format. Participates in projects requiring reporting of key metrics. May partner with technology group to define business requirements, perform user acceptance testing and implement changes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field and a desire to use those skills in a retail/ecommerce focused environment. Essential Functions Call Center and outside sales reporting and production tracking for various levels of management. Communicate business challenges to Management and assist in developing recommendations and solutions in consultation with appropriate staff Create artifacts relative to project initiatives May perform special projects independently, as assigned Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis at national and regional level Identify and create processes and tools to standardize data analysis Fully proficient in applying established standards, with speed and quality Acts more autonomously and creatively in solving complex problems, and by applying seasoned knowledge, skills, and experience to quickly come up with creative value-add solutions Significantly contributes to the company's short-term goals and objectives   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with a preferred emphasis in technology or business Exceptional reading comprehension and business/technical composition skills Intermediate SQL skills writing select only queries in the underlying databases of Accounting, ERP, Marketing and/or dispatch management software Intermediate understanding of accounting principles and software/database implementations in platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Sage Intermediate or greater experience writing Microsoft Excel formulas Intermediate or greater experience creating charts, pivot tables and reporting packages in Microsoft Excel Intermediate understanding of a retail order entry process: quote, order, down payment, invoice. Comfort adjusting software configurations in web or desktop GUIs Novice understanding of XML and JSON use and creation Strong math skills including undergraduate level statistics Basic understanding of data security Intermediate experience gathering and documenting business requirements. Comfort using online collaboration tools such as Skype, Sococo, GitHub, Slack and GoToMeeting Experience writing Microsoft VBA Macros in Word, Excel or Access Understanding of the fundamentals and differences between relational databases, NoSQL and big data Generalists knowledge of business focused Information Technology Inclination to operate autonomously Project ownership with a high tolerance to take on risk Comfort adjusting software configurations in XML or JSON configuration files Experience in at least one recurring revenue business model such as telecom, landscaping, pest control, or home security Knowledge of GIT, SVN and change control fundamentals Ability to travel periodically (less than 15 days per year).
