Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of the program. The Program Coordinator works in collaboration with program staff and supervisors to cultivate a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to service provisions.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide service and resource coordination to assist the client and/or family in gaining access to necessary rehabilitative, social, and other services and supports.
  • Assist with program logistics, such as setting up the classroom, preparing materials, contacting participants, maintaining records, and administering assessments.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, or conferences associated with the program, including, creation, management, and delivery of culturally centered instruction, and orientation materials to clients.
  • Responsible for data entry and maintaining case files. Complete all paperwork and service documentation, including case notes, in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing reports and financial statements regarding program operations by tracking service hours and other data points.
  • Actively establish, enhance and maintain liaison relationships with key government agencies, and non-profits/ community organizations.
  • Comply with policies and procedures governing the program and ensure that the program is operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Meet or exceed program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basis
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, public health, non-profit management, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 1 years of experience relevant to the position and working with vulnerable or migrant populations; 3 years preferred.

LICENSES: Driver’s License with clean record required.

VEHICLE: Valid driver’s license, access to an automobile, insurance, and willingness to drive to off-site locations, highly preferred. Able and willing to travel domestically up to 25% of time.

WORK LOCATION: Must have access to a home office to provide confidential and private work or have flexibility to change work locations to an office setting as funding and health crisis conditions allow.

OTHER: Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills). Eligible to receive, pass, and maintain e-QIP background check – initiated by the National Background Investigations Bureau. Must be a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

COMMUNICATION: Excellent interpersonal skills, including good communication skills, listening skills, and attitude. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.

COMPOSURE: Ability to remain calm and maintain self-control in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies. Ability to respond in a professional manner in all situations.

COMPUTER: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.

DECISION MAKING: Ability to think analytically and evaluate the impact of decisions. Requires high level of concentration, focus and use of memory. Ability to set work priorities and to evaluate and create solutions to work related problems.

MANAGEMENT: Knowledge of business and management practices involved in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation and leadership. Works with a bias towards action. Ability to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.

NEGOTIATION: Ability to persuade and influence regulatory representatives to reach optimum audit and/or investigation results. Ability to present the organization in a professional manner in all negotiations.

ORGANIZATION: Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

PLANNING: Ability to think long term; up to one year in advance. Knowledge of project management processes and best practices.

TECHNICAL: Ability to develop and comprehend numerical and statistical data analysis. Expertise in process mapping.
