POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

The Project Controls and Supply Chain Senior Director is responsible for managing the activities of project controls and supply chain for the General Construction and CFED division. This position oversees the development, evaluation, supplier recommendation, and reporting of financial, schedule and supply chain.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides oversight and direction to schedule, cost, and supply chain team members.
  • Drive sourcing that decisions in line with Construction, Design and Business Goals.
  • Manage inventory and supplier health metrics.
  • Maintain and understands industry benchmarks to ensure competitive pricing across all categories to develop project estimates.
  • Standardized KPIs for project health reporting (schedule, EV, manpower, EHS, change orders, cost forecasting).
  • Collate and present KPIs to executive level team.
  • Liaison with partner groups to ensure collaboration with legal and finance.
  • Establishes Programming and IFC estimate.
  • Leads and contributes to policies for developing, documenting, and analyzing existing control procedures and ensures implementation and monitors compliance.
  • Create tools to automate and standardize.
  • Identifies cross-departmental solutions and collaborates across multiple areas to identify effective and practical controls and risk management techniques.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong risk assessment, negotiation, and problem resolution skills.
  • Proficient in construction delivery models.
  • Self-starter, able to establish relationships and transcend multiple cross functional/departmental boundaries.
  • Proven ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple, complex organizational and business issues, and has ability to translate into practical plans for project execution.
  • Project management skills.
  • High sense of urgency with ability to drive results.
  • Excellent verbal written communication/presentation skills.
  • Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or greater in engineering, finance, construction, or other applicable field of study required.
  • 10-15 years of experience in construction supply chain and cost management required.
  • Construction & Engineering industry required.
  • Data Center construction or related industry preferable.
 
Position Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
  • This role is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future, with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum travel possible.
  • Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.
