Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing 

Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to project manage campaign execution for digital activations from concept to completion in conjunction with overall global digital marketing strategy and growth plans. You will oversee communication among cross-functional teams and overall roadmap of milestones for the Academy's digital marketing projects, strategic website development, CRM marketing and email strategy plus support team leadership in digital marketing efforts for Academy events and initiatives, and promotion of original content.

You are an experienced digital marketing and content specialist with a passion for movies and an enthusiasm to lead the Academy to the center of awareness and conversation about film online. You have extensive experience developing and executing large-scale, multi-faceted, global marketing campaigns. You are a proven strategic thinker with a background in email marketing, web/mobile, content/social media, YouTube/Google strategy, SEO, e-commerce, digital paid media, digital partnerships and promotions, experiential, events, podcasts, and have an understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the Academy's digital marketing campaign execution with the development of digital consumer engagement materials and content that supports overall marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute global campaigns for the Academy's initiatives and events.
  • Work collectively with the digital team in the execution of digital strategies to promote awareness of year-round Academy programs and initiatives, and drive viewership for annual Oscars telecast.
  • Assist in the development of CRM marketing strategies for audience growth and engagement across lifecyle marketing through email, customer journeys, video/audio/editorial content, e-commerce, and driving traffic to Academy branded websites.
  • Gather, analyze and maintain consumer analytics along with competitive activity, developing concise digital marketing briefs and automating and streamlining processes.
  • Identify innovation market needs and opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with influencers, bloggers, platform representatives and other movie industry thought leaders.
  • Help develop innovative online/offline programs and events.
 
Position Requirements
  • 8+ years of previous digital marketing experience, preferably for an entertainment brand/studio/streaming company, creative/digital agency or content media company.
  • An interest in innovation and experimentation with a willingness to take risks and an excitement to explore what’s possible in the digital space with one of the world’s most recognized brands.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive projects forward, ensuring clear, on-going and transparent communication across cross-functional teams and partners throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Experience generating creative marketing strategies and presentations for brand and media partners.
  • Proven experience in understanding the relationship between brand marketing objectives and cross-platform digital offerings needed to help drive & achieve a brand’s business goals/results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate clearly and effectively with senior level stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem solving, anticipation and analytical skills.
  • A track record of developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that surpassed audience growth and engagement goals across social and content marketing.
  • A track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • A background in website development, email and content marketing, SEO and social media with a passion for film.
  • Experience with video and digital creative development tools like Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • A background in content production, both editorial and video, is a plus.
