In this position, you will support and assist QA Management with several key Quality functions. These include assisting with root cause/corrective action investigations, customer complaints, supply nonconformances (SCARs), and internal holds. You will support document control in processing and generating documents and records. You will also help analyze and report on quality-related data and trends from production/QC, customers, and suppliers. As a key contact for customers and suppliers, you must write well and be professional, energetic, organized, and ready to learn new systems/skills. Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Associates Degree with relative work experience
  • Excellent writing, reporting, and data gathering abilities
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Visio
  • Food or packaging manufacturing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems/Standards (BRC/ISO/SQF/Etc.)
  • Quality oriented - Attention to detail - Organized and thorough
  • Must be local

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Assist in handling the receipt, tracking, and monitoring of customer complaints (CPARs), including related customer correspondence
  • Assist with coordinating corrective action meetings and root cause analysis and investigations
  • Assist with recording, reporting, and tracking supplier corrective actions (SCARs) including IFS uploads
  • Assist with uploading MRB information (internal holds) including defect information/pictures, and reports on trends
  • Enter and report on incoming material receipt, including data entry, COA review and upload, and more
  • Work with Customer Service to manage and track RMAs relating to CPARs
  • Retrieve retention samples as required/requested
  • Assist in analyzing trend data and issuing reports relating to Cost of Quality metrics, customer complaints, internal holds (MRB cases), and production/QC data, and the review thereof
  • Serve as a backup for document control as needed (e.g., during associate vacations or when there is a heavy workload). In this supporting role, assists in upkeep of CPNA documentation and the document control system within IFS, helps review all levels of documentation, ensuring alignment with site and regulatory requirements, and creates, writes, and edits documentation
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
