Summary:

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified Audio Visual Systems Engineer to provide support to the U.S. Army's Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE). The United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (USAFCoE) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, mission is to provide the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) with long-range training strategies, concepts, doctrine, training development, instruction and products and support products for current and future forces. FCoE's function is to serve as the user representative in the development of training methodologies and products, concepts, doctrine, organizational and materiel requirements for each functional area. The FCoE accomplishes this mission through the full spectrum of training services; exploitation of existing and emerging technologies and requirements (example: incorporating training for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system and the forthcoming, Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS)); models and simulations; studies and analyses; experiments; exercises; training and doctrine development; and supplemental/supporting tasks.

The FCoE & FS Chief Information Office, Chief Knowledge Management & G6 Office (CIO/CKO/G6) Support Staff working under the FCoE & FS Chief of Staff has the responsibility to provide Automation Management Support Services (AMSS) to FCoE & FS organizations. The sustainment of current and emerging Information Technology (IT) support is a critical enabler to accomplish all FCoE & FS missions. With the shortage of IT government personnel, FCoE & FS organizations cannot meet the required leadership and training objectives without use of contract support personnel.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical service and support to the facility, and its daily operation. Individual shall possess basic skills and knowledge to manage equipment, 'trouble- shoot' problems and provide overall service to the facility, staff, and students.
  • Create an open, compatible environment for the classroom and depositories of approved training material connected via cyberspace.
  • Implement TRADOC Enterprise Classroom Program (ECP) directives and work with the staff and sections in implementing changes.
  • Store and access automated training material for training developers, instructors, and facilitators needing to be trained in the use of ECP hardware, software, networks, facilities, and training products development for use in ECP Classroom.
  • Provide a data/video projection system with audio for display of instructor-led computer training and Video Tele-Training (VTT).
  • Utilize the VTT capability, two-way video/audio classroom control panels and allow instructors to operate equipment, electronically group students, and control and assist students at the desktop; provide for collaborative training among branches and schools.
  • Perform coding of the CRESTRON to ensure its proper operation within the classroom.
  • Troubleshoot the CRESTRON and determine steps to correct an identified problem.
  • Keep a daily log of all work performed and provide COR monthly reports of work completed or work pending completion. Reports will be provided on the first normal duty day of each month.
  • Respond to all classroom service requests within two (2) hours and complete all work within four (4) hours. Contractor shall respond to all other service desk within four hours and complete work within eight hours. Complex requirements taking longer than eight hours to complete will be discussed with COR and a reasonable completion date will be established.
  • Training and certification will be maintained to meet elevated privilege requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS graduate or equivalent with minimum 3 years of military and work experience providing A/V support
  • In accordance with (IAW) Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01 contractor personnel shall be Security Plus certified and have passed one of the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) exams within 90 days of contract award. The MCTS Examination the government prefers is Microsoft Windows 10 or current Operation System.
  • Shall have at a minimum a Basic CRESTRON Certification within 120 days after task order award and an Audiovisual Technology Specialist Certification within 90 days of task order award. The government preferred Audiovisual Technology Specialist Certification is through InfoComm International.
  • In accordance with AR 25-2 contractor personnel shall ensure that all users have completed an Installation Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the minimum required user training as specified in Army Policy as outlined in AR 25-2.
  • Possess a basic knowledge/understanding of all CRESTRON settings as they pertain to the normal operation of a classroom.
  • Possess knowledge/understanding of electrical wiring, to include installation and troubleshooting.
  • Possess knowledge/understanding of Projector installation and troubleshooting to include preventive maintenance.
  • Possess knowledge/understanding of Projector Screen installation and troubleshooting to include preventive maintenance.
  • Possess knowledge/understanding of classroom sound systems' installation and troubleshooting to include preventive maintenance.
