The Human Resource Specialist is integral to our growing company and the HR team. The HR Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of our bi-weekly payroll and administration of company benefits. This role is a key contributor and owner of the payroll process and the integration between our HRIS and Payroll systems. We look to the HR Specialist to keep the company informed on payroll best practices and maintain compliance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Compensation/Payroll - payroll processing using timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Benefits Administration - communicate with employees and management on benefits options, enrollment, usage, and changes
  • Safety Program Admin - record and maintain OSHA requirements and administer Workers Compensation program
  • Compliance - responsible for all reporting and HR filing requirements

You are highly aware of changing HR best practices, policies, and compliance issues and how they impact our business. Among other things, you will come to us with:

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • 3+ years in payroll and benefits
  • High level of business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • BA in Business, HR, or similar
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Preferred:

  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Experience with HRIS, Payroll, or other system integration and/or implementation
  • SPHR or similar
