Operations Coordinator

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Educational
Operations in ensuring compliance with all aspects involved in education and center
operations as required by the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Department of
Children & Families, and APPLE.

1. Assist in creating and completing child outcome reports from VPK, STAR Literacy,
TSG and other identified required reports from the Head Start Performance
2. Assist in examining, developing, implementing, documenting, and communicating
the goals and priorities of education and operations.
3. Monitor corrective action plans for Child Care Partners.
4. Track program supplies; place orders for supplies and keep an updated inventory.
5. Provide support to the DEOs as instructed by the Senior Director of Educational
6. Track quality assurance monitoring reports for non-compliances and trends,
communicate with the DEOs and Senior Director of Educational Operations.
7. Track and monitor contracts and interagency agreements; renew as needed.
8. Provide additional support to Directors of Educational Operations team as
9. Provide center support as identified by Director of Educational Operations.
10. Enter children into the HATCH system annually, and as needed.
11. Participate in the development and implementation of HS program goals.
12. Participate in team meetings, create agendas, take minutes and upload
documents to Sharepoint.
13. Assist is planning special projects as needed.
14. Assist in interviews as needed for vacant positions.
15. Monitor Child Plus to ensure accuracy of Program Information Report.
16. Attend community meetings to build relationships within the community.

• This position reports to the Senior Director of EHS/HS – Educational Operations.

Position Requirements

• Associate degree with related work experience; Bachelor’s preferred

• Ability to work with other employees and the public in a tactful and diplomatic manner
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Ability to exercise good judgment and emotional maturity in crisis and in normal situations
• Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products at an intermediate level
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to plan and organize work as well as maintain records and prepare reports
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with diverse colleagues with varied personalities and work styles

• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile coverage
• Satisfactory Driving Record (as outlined in Vehicle Driving Policy)
• Director’s Credential preferred (willing to obtain within 1-year of hire)
• Complete 15 hours of in-service/professional development training hours each fiscal year (July-June)

• Works in an office setting
• Local travel to multiple sites in various counties
• Assist in classroom settings if needed
• Minimal night, weekend or out-of-town work possible

• Acceptable eyesight and hearing (with or without correction)
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
