Position Summary:

As a Licensed Esthetician at Edgewood Tahoe, you will demonstrate expertise in determining guest’s skin concerns and will establish individually based skincare plans focused on providing excellent service to receive the best results. This position requires strong guest service skills to be delivered efficiently, with upmost professionalism, while and adhering to the department standard operating procedures. The Esthetician must possess excellent communication and guest assessment skills. It is a high priority that you set a warm and welcoming tone for the guests and team members as well as ensure all cleanliness standards are being met. Essential Functions:

  • Understands Edgewood’s Vision and Mission while executing our core Values and delivering upon our Forbes standards.
  • Apply broad knowledge of salon and spa concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Establish a good rapport with the guests and respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of spa
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment by continuously cleaning and sanitizing the various areas of the spa as outlined in department SOP, as well as, following department checklists for opening and closing procedures.
  • Polite and confident displaying empathy and patience
  • Demonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality treatment, possessing outstanding knowledge of skincare regimens and treatment procedures.
  • Confer with guests to find their needs and aesthetic objectives.
  • Proficient in contraindications, skin conditions and allergies
  • Creating, implementing, and adapting skincare regimens to specific guests needs.
  • Accomplished in the use of technology and products for performing effective skincare procedures.
  • Use equipment only as intended and maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Provide a variety of spa services to include facials, waxing, and body treatment
  • Proactively suggest home care regimes to enhance the benefit of the treatment provided.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date menu knowledge and retail product knowledge.
  • Immediately report guest issues to spa manager in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiry or concern that may require additional monitoring or follow-up, to management.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
    • All hotel amenities, features, services and hours of operation
    • All Spa rates, special packages and promotions.
    • VIP’s, guest arrivals, special request, group arrivals, etc.
    • Local events, attractions, holiday schedules.
    • Resort extension numbers.
    • Food & Beverage outlets, hours of operation, cuisine, ambience, dress code, menu selections and price range.

Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experienced in customizing services to enhance guests’ spa experience, in accordance to the guests’ physical and medical needs.
  • Well-versed in talking with guests regarding skin condition, medical history, and preferred results
  • Functional knowledge of executing professional boundaries with clients and maintaining confidential information
  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly effective professional.
  • Proven experience in a luxury spa environment would be preferred and commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Two years or more experience preferred as a Licensed Esthetician
  • Must have valid Nevada Esthetician License
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
