Description

The Human Resources Assistant will be primarily responsible for managing HR administrative tasks supporting onboarding, offboarding, enrollments, and other tasks. The HR Assistant will also assist with applicant screening, drafting documentation, and maintaining all employee files. The selected candidate will have working knowledge of Human Resources and understand confidentiality. This position will report to the Human Resources Director.

 
Position Requirements

Essential Functions

The Human Resource Assistant performs a wide range of duties, including the following:

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities and materials;
  • Manage job postings and screening of applicants;
  • Assist with drafting documentation;
  • Research and respond to employee questions;
  • Assist with enrollments and completion of required forms;
  • Manage employee files and online enrollment portals;
  • Assist with coordination of interns and volunteers;
  • Collect HR related data and create reports;
  • Maintain HR documentation (policies, checklists, manuals, reports);
  • Assist HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects;
  • Proofread and provide content suggestions for HR documentation;
  • Filing, scanning, copying;
  • Scheduling;
  • Support training and company events;
  • Provide general clerical support, plus other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint);
  • Ability to draft correspondence;
  • Excellent professional judgement;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Must have highest standard of organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

Work typically performed in an office environment with the majority of time spent working on a computer. Ability to operate general office equipment.

Schedule: 9am-5pm Reports to: Program Director Travel: Yes FLSA: Non-exempt
