About the Organization Faith Comes By Hearing is an Audio Bible ministry based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our vision is to get God's Word to every person, and we do this by recording Audio Bibles in every language and freely sharing them using the latest technology. We currently offer recordings in more than 1000 languages spoken by nearly 6 billion people around the world. We are looking for talented and skilled candidates to join us as we fulfill the Great Commission.

The purposes for which Faith Comes By Hearing is organized are wholly religious and include the following: To proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord in all that we do. The Corporation's Statement of Faith is as follows: Trusting in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we believe in: 1. The Bible as the inspired Word of God; 2. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son; 3. The vicarious death of Jesus Christ for our sins, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return; 4. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.

Are you interested in using your outbound phone call experience for the Kingdom? We are a great team of mission-minded professionals who use our gifts, skills, and education in service to the Lord. Our goal is to record the Bible in every translated language and provide it to people of every nation so that they too may hear God speak their language and find hope and truth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your skills in making outbound calls to new and current donors make this mission possible by thanking them for their donation and giving information about the ministry. We are currently seeking an experienced and friendly person with a great phone voice to join our team in sunny Albuquerque. God is limitless and access to His Word should be, too! Working with us is more than just a career, it’s a calling.

 
Position Requirements

Responsibilities include:

  1. Represent the organization by being able to communicate clearly and effectively its history, values, and vision. Contact with donors will be primarily by phone, handwritten correspondence, and email.
  2. Make thank you and follow up calls in a timely manner, using a prepared script, to donors on call list provided by Manager.
  3. Build relationships with donors to learn their interests in the ministry and seek opportunities to inspire them to become regular donors who are more engaged with the mission, resulting in increased retention rate among this group of donors.
  4. Informs donors of current giving opportunities, keeps current on all appeals and initiatives.
  5. Pray with donors when appropriate.
  6. Encourage donors with written/or video testimonies, reports, and updates, while continuing to provide awareness of current needs and funding opportunities.
  7. Follow up donor mail appeals with phone calls to provide more information and answer questions.
  8. Meet productivity and revenue requirements.
  9. Update and maintain database files on all contacts with donors, adding appropriate notes from conversations.
  10. Takes donations/gifts on the phone from donors.
  11. Achieves weekly call goals set by Manager.
  12. Prepare weekly donor call activity reports to Manager.
  13. Assist the Donor Engagement team in making calls to donors for special projects, e.g., event invitations, etc.
  14. Assists donors in downloading Bible.is app and web questions.

Perform other donor activities, as required.

Qualifications include:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Excellent people skills; warm and friendly, conversational and able to relate to and be in continual interaction and communication. Sensitivity to other cultures a plus.
  3. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills reflecting concern for people.
  4. Excellent telephone techniques and etiquette.
  5. Work confidentially and with discretion.
  6. Ability to work independently but also be a team player with heart for mission to reach all people with Audio Bibles.
  7. Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience is desirable.
  8. Detail oriented.
  9. Good data entry and typing skills.
  10. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  11. Experience in a call center or customer service environment.
  12. Previous fundraising and/or sales experience, preferred.
