Description

Position Summary:

As an Ice Rink Attendant at Edgewood Tahoe, you welcome arriving guests in a friendly manner and address them by name whenever possible. You will also assist in maintaining overall guest flow of the check in process including tendering admissions and rentals as well as maintaining all rental equipment and guest areas. The most important characteristic of our team is that we love inspiring lasting memories for our guests. In this position you exhibit excellence in your commitment to our guests. Essential Functions:

  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
  • Assist guests with fitting and skating equipment rentals.
  • Keep skate racks organized and maintain skate inventory.
  • Complete transactions on point of sale for admissions and rentals.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • During shift, rotate to shoe fitting area to provide skate rentals assistants to guests.
  • Sanitization of skate rental equipment, cleaning of surrounding areas and basic cleaning.
  • Communicate with managers about guests, unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions.
  • Always display excellent customer service on and off the ice.
  • Assist guests during incidents or falls and contact management when necessary.
  • Enforce ice rink policies, as needed, following ice rink protocol.
  • Snow removal on the ice rink and paths around the ice rink.
  • Sincerely thank guests as they leave and inviting them to return.
  • Must come to work dressed for extreme weather conditions.
  • Collect signed waivers from guests.
  • Keep rink and surrounding areas clean .
  • Monitor skaters and ensure proper ice safety procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for alerting managers to any unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions.
  • Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
  • Maintain ice during inclement weather or as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests.
  • Must know how to skate.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Must know how to skate.
  • Upbeat, outgoing, and professional personality with strong communication skills with staff and guests.
  • Must possess computer skills; Guest Center (OpenTable) experience a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized, take direction and work independently.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
