Description

We're growing fast! Immediate opportunities for independent contractors to install low voltage wiring in multiple residential communities across the Northern Virginia Area. We are the contractor of choice for over 30 area home builders who offer audio/video, automation, security, and other low voltage systems. We have unprecedented demand as builders open new communities and rely on quality subcontractors to install the wiring infrastructure for our systems. Our contractors handle a high volume of jobs weekly at the rough and trim stages of construction.

 
Responsibilities
  • Work as an independent contractor to install and troubleshoot low voltage wiring in residential settings at the rough-in and trim stages of construction.
  • Complete work orders, monitor scheduled projects, and maintain well-organized project notes using email and an electronic record keeping system
  • Confer with site supervisors and office staff to complete jobs according to detailed work orders
 

Minimum Requirements
  • One year field experience in technical trades
  • Working knowledge of the wiring required for residential electronic systems such as audio/video, security, and home automation
  • Ability and willingness to work inside and outside homes, both finished and under construction, in all weather conditions
  • Daily commute directly to the job site up to five days per week; commute to the Sterling, VA corporate office one morning per week
  • Consistent availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Ability to provide business license and proof of insurance
  • Own and have the ability to use an industry standard tool set
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance with ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-plus years installing and troubleshooting residential electronic systems such as home theaters and home automation
  • Relevant industry certification
  • Active Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) license
 

Compensation and Benefits Package
  • Pay per drop at rough and trim stages of construction
  • Contractor (1099) status
 

Compensation Rate $15 - $22 per hour, depending on experience. Consideration for increase and/or bonus after 90 days.
