Director of Health Analytics- WCG 


The Director of Health Analytics designs and oversees the data analysis, reporting, and related management functions for Wingspan and its affiliate agencies as well as supports the portfolio of the Innovation Hub. Major areas of responsibility include financial analysis, identification and analysis of trends, and oversight and review of treatment outcomes data to drive data-based decision making; inform and advise management in the meaningful use of clinical and financial data; support the reporting requirements of affiliate agencies per internal requirements and external contractual obligations per outside stakeholders; assist senior clinical leadership to develop outcomes data collection and reporting in line with accreditation, licensure, and certification requirements, best practices, and managed care readiness; support operations, and data collection and reporting aligned with Federally Qualified Health Care Center requirements, including UDS, KPI, and QI reporting; participate in electronic systems upgrades in partnership with Information Technology Division; and provide training in data collection and reporting on a regular and as needed basis across all affiliate agencies.



  • Develop and implement analytics strategies to drive improved pricing and outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of industry and business trends, collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources, and synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
  • Combine outcomes, clinical, and billing data to conduct high level analysis of evaluation data using advanced statistical techniques (multivariate analysis of variance, regression, etc.) to identify trends, relationships, and effective patterns of service. This activity must be aligned with the development and ongoing implementation of Wingspan’s data warehouse and business analytics solution.
  • Generate standard and/or custom reports that extract and compile large data sets from various systems to create cost and utilization studies, provide related financial analysis, and identify and analyze trends to support executive decision-making.
  • Prepare written reports as required by contract, licensure, certification, and accreditation, and participate in competitive proposal development as requested by supervisor.
  • Collaborate with Development and Marketing Division to identify and provide outcomes data needed to inform development of competitive proposals to secure and maintain funding and develop appropriate collateral material to promote service lines and engage stakeholders in activities of affiliate agencies.
  • Train and supervise research and evaluation staff vis-à-vis generating reports and assign report generation and preparation to this level of staff when appropriate. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to build their capacity to further the mission of affiliate agencies.
  • Coordinate with IT staff and consultants in development, maintenance, and implementation of data warehouse, business analytics, agency-wide systems, and protocols to intersect output, quality, and outcome data so that reporting and continuous improvement efforts are maximized.
  • Train clinical and other direct service staff on outcomes data collection systems.
  • Support programs by providing data to monitor and improve program’s effectiveness and support client needs.
  • Collaborate with affiliate agencies to ensure best practices and consistency in the measurement of client outcomes and evaluation of programming.
  • Coordinate with external evaluators to create data collection protocols and generate reports necessary to remain compliant with federal grant requirements and any other funding held by affiliate agencies.
  • Support ongoing program monitoring by ensuring timely collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting of evaluation and analytics results.
  • Participate in various committees, including the Performance Improvement Committee, the Quality Improvement Committee, and the Environment of Care Committee to provide and analyze data, mentorship, and technical support to program staff for affiliate agencies’ performance improvement and other data-based initiatives.
  • Maintain a secure work environment to protect confidential information adhering to HIPAA standards and agency policies.
  • Assist with the integration efforts for merging analytics platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
  • Design, code, test, and document new and/or modified analytics algorithms and calculations utilized in systems, applications, and programs.


  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of quantitative statistics and ability to develop predictive data models.
  • Demonstrated math, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SSRS, SQL server reporting services plus SPSS, and/or other statistics software
  • DAX coding and Power BI knowledge and relational databases.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Five years of experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or research.
  • Management and supervision experience preferred.
  • Prior health analytics experience preferred.
