DBT Clinician - COPE-Part Time

Seeking to hire a part-time DBT Clinician for the C.O.P.E Program

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The DBT Clinician will function as part of a clinical team who will work together to coordinate and provide comprehensive DBT services.  
  • Working with youth and families on their personal treatment goals in order to help create a sense of stability and overall healthy functioning 
  • Assesses and evaluates clients at intake and/or admission, during ongoing treatment and/or service delivery, and at discharge and/or transfer 
  • Formulates treatment plans, with relevant goals, measurable objectives that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement 
  • Provides therapeutic services and supportive interventions, including facilitation of groups, individual therapy, phone coaching, and provides inter-agency coordination of treatment for children and families. 
  • Implements evidence-based interventions and assessments to help individuals achieve their treatment goal 
  • Responds to clients for crisis-intervention 
  • Engages in inter-organizational care coordination 
  • Documents services (i.e. assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries) in clinical record on a timely basis with all entries authenticated and time/dated 
  • Recognizes and addresses gaps in service and actively collaborate for resolution. 
  • Plans for, communicates, and documents discharge/aftercare/transfer plans for clients completing treatment and/or accessing other services in the continuum 
  • Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the assessment and/or evaluation of clients, actively participates in program and clinical team meetings, provides support for team colleagues, and engages in program-related performance improvement processes and activities.  
     

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications/Education/Experience: 

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or other behavioral health discipline 
  • 2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, DBT experienced preferred
  • Professional Licensure in counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT) 
  • PsyD, Ph.D are also welcome to apply 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable under Agency’s automobile insurance  
  • policy
