Share Email Opening Title Mission Planning Support Engineer - AFSOC  Category Information Technology   Description The Mission Planning Support Engineer - AFSOC will be supporting service-provided ground operator tactical computing systems and software in addition to supporting USSOCOM, TACLAN, SOMPE, provided systems/capabilities. Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Supports classified and unclassified Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) devices, and associated cables for use by Special Tactics (ST) personnel. Updates and maintains SOMPE approved TAK Suite builds. Loads, tests and distributes critical mission data, as required. Upon SOMPE COR approval, provides on-site training when and where required/requested. Some training and test sites may require AFSOC Ground Tactical Support Contractors to wear appropriate tactical personal protective equipment (PPE) (multicam protective combat uniform (PCU), footwear, eye protection, etc.), in such cases the required equipment will be Government provided. Support Level will be Tier 1/Help Desk. Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
