Position CLINICAL PROJECTS MANAGER  
Description

The position will serve as a Quality Improvement Nurse for the Texas Hospital Association Foundation (THAF) for clinical initiative projects. The Manager will provide oversight of work including development of detailed project plans, engagement of assigned hospitals, and coordination with key stakeholders that are partnering with THAF on project. This position will lead and facilitate collaborative activities on behalf of assigned hospitals in the clinical initiative projects with a focus on engaging hospital quality improvement staff, management, nursing, and other clinical and non-clinical front-line staff to achieve success in all focus areas of the project.

 
Position Requirements

BS in Nursing (Masters’ preferred) with 5 years minimum experience as a nurse/clinician in an acute care hospital and 2 years in patient safety, quality and/or education. Years of experience may be collective in total.

Experience in patient safety or performance improvement program development, or similar work. Experience in program management to drive improvements in quality and patient safety metrics. Experience in use of RCA and FMEA preferred.

Additional training/certification for Quality Improvement/Patient Safety/ Improvement preferred with strong project management, organizational skills, strategic thinking, and planning capabilities.

Must have experience with training/educating health care providers. Excellent facilitation, team building, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills required.

Individual must have strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers.

Knowledge of hospital and health care systems and legislative process is helpful.

Ability to use all Microsoft Office software and have in-depth knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
