This is an initiative funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) aimed at improving COVID-19 response efforts in long-term residential care facilities. The goal of the RCCHP is to partner with long term care (LTC) facilities to support COVID-19 readiness and response planning. The RRHCP has identified a facility-level need of group bereavement services for staff in facilities that have experienced significant losses of colleagues and residents to COVID-19.   The bereavement social worker will provide a 4-6 week virtual bereavement program for facilities that request this service. This will include developing support group content, screening participants for appropriateness for support group therapeutic modality (those who have mental health needs that exceed the therapeutic modality of a support group will be referred back to the facility for help through their EAP), facilitation of a weekly support group for up to 12 staff, and provision of recommended resources to participants. The bereavement social worker will work collaboratively as part of a team of 3-5 social workers (depending on demand for services) to develop support group framework and content. Access to the technology platform to provide virtual groups will be provided.   Position Requirements PA LSW with a minimum of 1-3 years bereavement experience. Medical social work experience in the settings of inpatient hospital, ambulatory care, palliative care or long-term care preferred. Highly organized with strong organizational and time management abilities. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Solid experience with technology, tele health experience preferred. Flexible availability, day, late afternoons, early evenings, possibly weekends.   This position is currently not accepting applications.
