Koniag Government Services is looking for a Change Manager in Fort Collins, CO. Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are a member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe.

The Change Manager provides strategic support and daily management for system changes. The Change Manager works with technical and functional staff to identify and reach consensus regarding changes to the environment.  The change Manager is responsible for drafting communications for the key stakeholders and end users related to system development and deployment as well as reviewing and providing feedback for all system changes. 

  • Ensure relevant control standards and governance are documented, communicated and adhered to in accordance with program standards.
  • Responsible for coordinating changes across the various support teams, ensuring correct procedures are followed and changes are accurately recorded scheduled and controlled.
  • Work with Project Managers, requestors, business areas and operational teams processing requests, checking status and chasing information where necessary throughout the Change lifecycle. Manage the lifecycle of all changes to the infrastructure and environment to promote their successful and on-time completion.
  • Assess the priority and impact of all changes for accuracy ensuring consideration to activities, monthly schedules and resource conflicts.
  • Analyze change request tickets to ensure they are complete and determine impact on the environment.  
  • Manage environment conflicts due to environment availability and usage issues.
  • Adjust priority levels of change requests to meet business needs.
  • Approve minor changes as well as changes to the development and test environments.
  • Create and distribute Change Management reports and analysis for IT Management and technical support groups to summarize changes and to provide status updates for stakeholders.
  • Prepare all documentation (including reports, agendas and minutes) for PreCAB , (CAB) andClient Meetings.
  • Proven ability to drive large scale projects with high collaboration and leadership
  • Experience and knowledge of the software development lifecycle and release management
  • Demonstrates accountability, responsibility, and a passion for change management with a drive to continuously improve Change Management.
  • Self-motivated, motivating, and has a positive attitude.

  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadlines and pressure
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience in presenting to senior leadership.
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Visio, Excel, Access and BMC Remedy applications.
  • ITIL experience and qualifications: Release Management, Incident Management and Change Management. ITIL Foundations certification required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive Change Management experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in I.T., Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
