POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

As a Content Marketing Manager, you will tap into your passion for experiential marketing and storytelling to communicate to NTT Global Data Center Americas customers and prospects across their lifecycles. This role is responsible for the brand content strategy for internal and external audiences, social media, and sales enablement. You will deliver strategy and work with creative teams to deliver a strong pipeline of high-value, relevant and engaging content - whether expressed in live experiences, written content, social media or other - that strengthens the brand and elevates our profile across targeted customer segment. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Brand and Content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, video, print and in-person.
  • Map out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why. Continuous evolvement of strategy is a must.
  • Develop and own a functional content calendar.
  • Serve as the primary editor/proofreader for all materials, publications, emails, website, social content and ad copy; be the arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
  • Integrate content activities within traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the creative and content execution for all social media channels. Define and implement a unique, brand-right aesthetic that is engaging, inspiring and brand-building.
  • Work with sales leaders, business development leaders, and audience marketing leaders to develop effective field training, sales enablement, and channel marketing tools including presentations, white papers, market analyses, and structured programs that help all the above be more effective.
  • Manage the external customer content experience through full lifecycle, identifying the best content interactions depending on the stage in the journey. Includes but is not limited to prospect, onboarding, through to nurture programs.
  • Conduct ongoing tests to gauge content effectiveness. Gather data and handle analytics and make recommendations based on those results.
  • Develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real time implementation of content strategies.
  • Craft briefs and effectively lead both internal and external creative teams to develop compelling creative and marketing assets, including transcreation across global key markets
  • Develop and maintain the internal employee experience – works with HR and executive team to build employee content and communications to help drive awareness

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening).
  • Hard-nosed proofreader, grammar aficionado, and experienced writer with solid editing experience; You’re comfortable providing candid feedback to writers in a way that brings out their absolute best work.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills, specifically in the area of influencing without direct authority, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving.
  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data, then developing clear and actionable conclusions/recommendations.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects. Well organized, good at prioritization, attentive to details, clear oral and written communicator.
  • Biased toward action. Takes initiative, entrepreneurial, can hit the ground running and move projects forward right from the start.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, some data center industry background strongly preferred and 3+ years of experience working remote environment

WORK CONDITIONS & LOCATION

  • Must be able to travel when needed for meetings and events (estimated less than 10%)
  • Must be able to travel to offices in California, Virginia and Texas, as well as future sites as they open
  • This role is expected to be remote with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space.
