Share Email Opening Title Payroll Accountant  Category Accounting/Finance   Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Accountant is responsible for processing all components of the payroll process and assisting with general accounting duties. REPORTS TO: Controller SUPERVISES: N/A   Position Requirements ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES: Responsible for all payroll processing cycles for 800+ employees across two states. Create budgetary information related to staff and professional wages. Troubleshoot payroll tax concerns along with third party payroll vendor. Process ACH payments for assigned liabilities as needed. Create spreadsheet analysis and graphs as needed. Assist with multiple accounting audits throughout the year. Analysis of financial statements regarding wages and taxes. Other projects as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Associate Degree in Accounting and 2-3 years of payroll experience COMPETENCIES: Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Quality of work reflects efficiency and accuracy. Ability to obtain knowledge and skills on the job or through educational courses. Polite, professional, and courteous.
