About the Role
DXP | HSE Integrated is looking for Firefighters that are wanting to expand their training and knowledge into High Angle Rescue.
Candidates must:
- Be located within 1 hour from Burnaby
- Be successful in completing our PreEmployment Drug & Alcohol Screen (arranged and paid for by HSE)
- Be successful in completing a standardized 75 lb/34 kg Physical Fitness Test (arranged and paid for by HSE)
- Willing to undergo High Angle Rescue Training with HSE. This training is arranged and provided by HSE. You will be going through a 1006 equivalent course provided by a 1006 qualified Instructor.
Education and Certifications
- Standard First Aid Level C
- CSTS
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s Licence (Please note, a valid licence does not include a Learner’s Permit or Graduated Licence)
- A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months
Experience
- High Angle Rescue & Confined Space Rescue would be considered an asset
- Running breathing apparatus equipment would be considered an asset
- Industrial Firefighting and/or Paramedical experience would be considered an asset
