Part Time Groundskeeper

JOB SUMMARY

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Provides general grounds keeping and maintenance duties as needed such as; mowing, weeding, maintaining plant beds, landscaping, sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Performs routine external walk-throughs of Russell properties to ensure proper upkeep of grounds.
  • Retrieves supplies and orders as needed or requested including pick up of items to/ from warehouse and various businesses. May receive and verify delivery of products.
  • May move and repair office furniture. May participate in light remodeling projects.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining mechanical room and supply areas.
  • Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.

 

 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and experience requirements include: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous comparable experience desired. Demonstrated ability to safety and efficiently operate mowing equipment and hand and power tools associated with landscape, groundskeeping and maintenance necessary. Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record, must possess thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving. Must possess initiative and maintain a positive and proactive approach to duties and client satisfaction. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisor, clients, co-workers, outside vendors or contractors. Ability to work diligently and independently without direct oversight and the ability to complete work under assigned deadlines and/or tight schedules. Ability to utilize problem solving and decision making skills to meet assigned objectives is necessary. Knowledge and conformance to personal and property safety procedures related to building and ground maintenance. Candidate must successfully pass a post-offer background screen and drug test.
