Market Merchandising Specialist 



The Market Merchandising Specialist will maximize the merchandising, distribution, and availability of Suja® juices within all retail outlets of an assigned market (natural, grocery, mass, club, independent, food service, schools, and universities), working together with distributors, account managers, and Suja® field personnel.



  • Further the development of shelf conditions, in-stock availability and promotion of Suja® to build brand loyalty in all trade channels within assigned market.
  • Provide and implement strategic direction to support Suja® sales and marketing initiatives within account plans across assigned local account universe; ensuring account plans address promotions, ads, displays, distribution, availability enhancement, execution of price and package plans, and deliver account objectives within targeted per case investment guidelines.
  • Complete daily sales and merchandising calls on influencer and high-volume accounts within the market geography with a focus on account development to achieve maximum potential.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with the produce managers, store directors, store management, office staff, and operations to maximize brand potential in each location.
  • Communicate successes, competition trends, deals, product introductions and opportunities via weekly sales recaps to region sales manager.
  • Execute available monthly deals at store level to maximize merchandising potential, increase brand presence and eliminate out of stock conditions.
  • Execute Suja® point of sale, stackers, cold box displays, and secondary placement opportunities using tools provided from the company. Ensure adequate point of sale and rack availability at the distributor and communicate needs to manager.
  • Check Suja® inventory levels at each location and communicate all potential problems to Suja® account manager.
  • Participate in crew drives and market blitzes as requested.
  • Report daily activities through company CRM mobile app
  • Analyze and utilize sales, scan, and syndicated data to identify opportunity gaps and increase overall market sales
  • Work with local field marketing managers to direct and manage a product demo event that meet sales requirements through effective hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating of personnel.
  • Work to run and execute market/region specific trade and vendor tabletop shows, as needed

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred or 5-year successful track record selling consumer products in current area.
  • Must possess internal drive and fortitude, high energy, resourceful, responsible, flexible, and excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a mobile environment and navigate assigned territory (extensive local travel with some overnight trips based on territory needs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thrives in both a teamwork and independent initiative work environments.
  • Capable of analyzing information and assembling sales data for buyers and store managers.
  • Capable and willing to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, resetting displays and installing glide racks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary software applications.
