Description

Strategic Importance of this Role to the Company:

The Irrigation Service Specialist is a pivotal part of the Maintenance Division and to the success of Hidden Creek Landscaping in keeping irrigation and lighting systems working properly and efficiently to help maintain a healthy and beautiful landscape. This position is responsible for annual maintenance, service calls, and providing quotes for additional repairs and improvements on irrigation, lighting, and water feature systems. Delivering exceptional customer service is expected and is the foundation of our successful relationship with our clients.

Time management is key with this position, as you could be performing multiple jobs per day and problem solving in order to complete jobs safely, with quality, and in an efficient manner. This position is also involved in snow removal operations.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and a variety of materials
  • Loading and unloading necessary equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work near or on heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
  • Work outdoors in various conditions
  • Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work

Roles and Responsibilities in this position are:

Daily:

  • Follow a schedule to perform Irrigation startups, repairs, small installations, audits, fine tuning and shutdowns.
  • Test systems for proper functioning of valves and timers when service is completed to avoid rework and free return visits.
  • Make a proposal for repairs, additional work and or advised work and present the proposal to the production manager, account manager, or homeowner.
  • Communicate with Production Manager to make sure schedule is on schedule and open items are back on the schedule to be completed the next day.
  • Monitor and restock the van to assure proper supply of parts and equipment.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment to make sure you are safe.

Weekly:

  • Wash all equipment, trucks and trailers assigned to you.
  • Follow up with any potential sales leads on your own or with your Production Manager and account managers.
  • Meet with Production Manager to review upcoming schedule

Provide EXPECT MORE Customer Service:

Daily:

  • Reports to Production Manager each morning and prior to leaving job site for the day with a full job status report.
  • Dedicated to quality customer service.
  • Go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Speak with current client on jobsite to ensure total client happiness.
  • Answer all customer inquiries to best of knowledge or direct the customer to an outlet with the proper knowledge.
  • Handles “moments of truth” effectively and positively.
  • Ensure total job completion.
  • Leave jobsite in a clean professional state.
  • Communicate with other team members of potential problems on job sites.
  • Always be seeking ways in which we can add value to the customer and make it known to the Production manager.

Weekly:

  • Create a positive company culture that makes happy, enthusiastic, employees want to help!
  • View customers as part of the Hidden Creek family other than just numbers.
  • Share client feedback and provide recognition on a weekly (at least weekly) basis to team members who produced client jobs.

Monthly:

  • Eliminate barriers to superior customer service!
  • Remember job site hours are not the driving force, quality and customer satisfaction is.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure complete happiness with all aspects of job.
  • Meet with Production Manager and D/B on site for jobs that will be transitioning from install to maintenance. This will allow for visual of the property as well as a time for questions or concerns to be discussed.
