All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description Chiaravalle Montessori is looking for a dynamic, motivated, Montessori-trained Associate Teacher to join our superb Elementary team for the 2020-2021 school year.  This person will work collaboratively with the Lower Elementary team to implement the Chiaravalle curriculum consistent with the Montessori Method and principles.  The Associate Teacher position is a full-time, fully benefitted position scheduled onsite Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm. THE POSITION The Associate Teacher Lower Elementary will utilize best practices in the classroom based on current research in child development and education which are appropriate to the learning objectives for lower elementary (grades 1st - 3rd).  The person in this position will work to provide individualized and differentiated learning plans in order to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual growth of each child. You will support students by implementing strategies and accommodations geared towards the indifvidual child. The Associate Teacher provides students with timely, clear and constructive feedback.  You will be responsible for wokring and communicating with other teachers, Learning Resources, Administrators and parents in an effort to provide the best learning environment and support for each student's individidual progress. As students make their journey, our nurturing yet challenging environment helps them gain greater independence and self-confidence while developing higher-order cognitive skills.   Position Requirements Education & Experience  The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field and Elementary Montessori Certification.  You must have a minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience in a school setting, preferrably Montessori. Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication, organization skills are preferred. This person must be adaptable to different situations, communication and social styles. Patience, the ability to stay calm and maintain respectful and peaceful communication with children and adults is also essential. Other Requirements Physical requirements include full ability to see, walk, hear and talk as well as lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly, up to 40-50 lbs in the case of lifting or carrying a child in an emergency situation, and pushing/pulling/reaching to maintain files, supplies and equipment.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   This position is currently not accepting applications.
