Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Shared Services, designs, develops, coordinates, and facilitates the execution of specified projects and initiatives for the business operations and the Practice Management and EMR Systems. Will also assist with various tasks as determined by the Director of Shared Services based on the business need. Provides specialized advice, facilitation, and support to management and staff in the development and implementation of effective systems, efficient patient workflows and procedures. Must be able to observe and analyze clinic workflows and make recommendation for improvement. Participate in business development initiatives and discussions to ensure that all new and existing relationships are financially beneficial to clinical operations. These duties are not meant to be all inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Position Requirements

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare preferred; or, education and experience to equal at least 4 years with 2 years’ experience directly related to the clinical operation and training of practice management systems. Solid knowledge of PM and EMR systems with some understanding of backend revenue cycle operations. Requires extensive knowledge in clinic flow and operational needs, HIPAA and regulatory laws in the healthcare system.

Requires personal auto for traveling and current Nevada driver license and full-coverage automobile insurance. Ability to travel, locally, 25-30% of the time.

  5. Working knowledge of PM and EMR systems.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.
  7. Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  8. Ability to read, write and speak clearly and concisely in English.
  9. Advanced skills in project planning and project management.
  10. Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Knowledge of medical terminology and the insurance industry
  12. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and its impact on the healthcare system.
  13. Extensive practical knowledge of ambulatory clinic work flow
  14. Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation.
  15. Ability to construct patient flow and workflow diagrams and present them to leadership.
  16. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  17. Skills in demonstrating, teaching, and presenting information to provide best success for learning.
  18. Skills in good customer service principles.
  19. Skills in project planning and management.
  20. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community, including public speaking and presentation skills.
  21. Strong leadership skills to promote teamwork.
  22. Working knowledge of business equipment to include computers, multi-line telephones, fax, copier.
