Description

The NATO Security Investment Planner will provide assistance in the program management of various Regional facility projects as they relate to NATO and Host Nation Programs, as well as provide assistance on Regional program management for NATO involving daily work with basic desktop applications.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Coordinate on projects portfolio covering a broad range of facilities planning and technical facility activities encompassing a variety of complex facilities to include piers, airfields, hangers, etc.
  • Develop regional guidance and engineering standards for management of one or more facilities program(s).
  • Conduct site visits and generates technical guidance to Navy personnel on capital investments for facilities including but not limited to piers, hangers, airfields, utility systems, and bachelor housing as they relate to NATO.
  • Prepare planning and technical reports, presentations, and background papers as required on technical engineering aspects of one or more facilities program(s).
  • Coordinate and support development of Region’s NATO requirements, validating Regional priorities consistent with Region, CNIC, and Navy guidance.
  • Works closely with outside engineering organizations including US Army Corps of Engineers as well as engineering organizations from fellow NATO countries in the development and planning of projects throughout the AOR.
  • Develop regional policies and procedures, position papers, and instructions related to planning aspects of assigned facility program(s).
  • Knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) process for major capital improvements as well as related NATO processes.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
