Description

Be a part of Endeavors' mission to provide comprehensive, effective and innovative services that empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities through its Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program. The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program offers Homelessness Prevention & Stabilization Services to Veterans and their families. These supportive services include outreach, case management, help in obtaining VA benefits, emergency financial assistance for rent & utilities and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits.

Schedule: (Monday-Friday)

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide outreach services.
  • Conduct initial meetings with Veterans and Outreach and Intake Specialist.
  • Strength based, client focused services.
  • Assessment of needs, development of service plan, referrals to appropriate agencies.
  • Coordinate with Financial Assistance Coordinator for payment to third parties.
  • Network at monthly Veteran community groups.
  • Maintain records of service provided and client progress.
  • Collaborate with Lead Case Manager.
  • Average case load of 20-30 Veterans per month and work directly with the VA and the eligible Veteran to verify that benefits are properly obtained.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field required.
  • 2 years of case management experience.
  • 2 years in a homeless related field required. Experience with Veterans and their families a strong plus
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Must have own transportation; travel required/drivers license with clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote office, self motivating and sufficient.
  • Must have strong ethics and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced/team environment.
  • Must meet physical requirements of the job.
