Description

The role of the Snowmonster Mascot is to provide service and family entertainment to Crystal guests.

  • Role model expectations including Great Service, Quality Programs and Safe Snowsports.
  • Provide service as needed within the Snowsports department including but not limited to greeting guest outside of tickets and rental, loading kids on the shuttle bus at totem park, helping at the carpet inside totem park, walking kids to the restrooms and helping during lunch and breaks.
  • Follow all policies and procedures while wearing the Snowmonsters Mascot suits. Training outline attached.
  • Always stay within the level of training while in the Snowmonster suit.

Levels include- LEVEL ONE- Get to know the suit, LEVEL TWO- CONTROLLED Totem Park Training, LEVEL THREE- ON the hill training

  • Never go anywhere in a Mascot Suite without a guide.
  • Stay in control at all times
  • Be friendly and courteous to all guests.
  • Be animated and fun.
  • Be present in the core, main activities and events while in the suit.
  • Be helpful to guests and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position is solely evenings, weekends and holidays.
 
Position Requirements

Competencies:

  • Previous experience guest service training is helpful.
  • Previous work with children is desirable.
  • The ability to entertain families is desirable. (Dance, sign, play guitar, games, etc.)
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.
  • Maintains office, employee and company confidentiality at all times.
  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.

Education:

  • Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • The employee must be able to get around the mountain on skis.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to ski, stand and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
