Description

Western International Securities, Inc. is seeking an Investment Advisory Services Associate to join our successful organization. This individual will be an integral member of the high-functioning and collaborative Investment Advisory team. This position will integrate in with numerous teams within Western International, including investment advisory, compliance supervision, accounting and trading.

This position is eligible to be located in any of our home office locations including Pasadena, California, San Diego, California, or Syracuse, New York. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the WIS Advisory team in the setup and calculation of Investment Advisory Fees across multiple custodians and multiple RIA’s
  • Back office downloading, posting, and reporting transactions
  • Daily reconciliation of advisory fee transactions and payouts
  • Educate advisors on the advisory offering with a focus on the Envestnet platform
  • Generate investment proposals with Financial Advisors on Envestnet and provide advice and guidance on product selection
  • Setup client accounts and streamline workflows in documentation processing
  • Platform Administration - assist in the on-boarding and entitlement process for new financial advisors joining the firm
  • Back-Up Operations team on phone and other tasks during critical projects
  • Platform development and integration - integrate various wealth management platforms and third party financial institutional software. Black Diamond, Envestnet, DST, Wealthscape, NETEX360
 
Position Requirements

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of Advisory experience within a brokerage or RIA environment preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple custodians, such as Fidelity, Pershing, Schwab and Wedbush.
  • Black Diamond Platform Experience preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Extensive skill in Excel is required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must. Must be able to remain flexible in an ever-changing environment. The customer service representative must have the ability to recognize when a problem or issue requires additional parties to be consulted and the ability to use proper discretion and judgement when dealing with internal and external difficulties.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet time-sensitive deadlines & deliverables.
  • Problem solver - Ability to provide multiple solutions that will achieve the same outcome.
  • Self-aware, self-motivated, with a high regard for accountability.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
