We are looking for a dedicated Habilitation Support Professional for our Medina, Ohio location who shares our passion for helping others to join the I Am Boundless, Inc. team! Boundless is fast-growing CQL- and CARF- accredited nonprofit organization with nearly 40 years of expertise. We are focused on supporting people with complex needs associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges.

Salary: $13 per hour

What You Will Be Doing 

As a day program aide, you'll serve as a friend, mentor, and support-person to individuals with developmental disabilities. You'll provide individualized direct care, lead socialization activities, develop daily living skills, and manage integrated activities both in the center and throughout the Medina area.    

Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional care
  • Implementing behavior supports  
  • Promoting well-being and safety  
  • Increasing an individual's social, educational, and living skills  
  • Planning and leading community excursions   
  • Assisting with daily hygiene
  • Collaborating with other team members

Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License with less than five points and Insurable Driving Record.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Five years’ experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with consumers and other staff.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
