Description

Fusion Education Group is a fast-growing West Michigan headquartered company with a national network of 50+ private schools (grades 6-12) across the country.

We are seeking a self-motivated, passionate individual to join our systems team as a systems developer.

This is a development position in charge of maintaining and improving on all our organization’s systems, but at first primarily our custom scheduling system. This is an enterprise-grade system with over 1400 users built with a .Net backend and React/Redux frontend compiled from TypeScript.

The successful candidate must have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and be familiar with the full development life cycle. They must also be willing to learn new technologies and be invested in self-growth.

Requirements for this position include at least 2 years of development experience and strong knowledge of .Net framework/C#, a frontend framework, Typescript/Javascript, and MSSQL

Responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

  • Solve complex business problems with current enterprise technologies
  • Execute full lifecycle software development
  • Write well designed, testable code
  • Collaborate with end-users to find innovative solutions to problems
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Present ideas for system improvements.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new applications quickly
  • Capacity to work independently or with a team to complete projects
  • Must be comfortable with interaction between IT, business operations and customers
  • Meet deadlines and see projects from design to completion with little supervision
  • Writing documentation
 
Position Requirements

Requirements of the position:

  • Maintain regular core work hours and be available on evenings and weekends as needed (rare)
  • Diligent and self-motivated work ethic
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability and desire to take on other assignments as needed
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Prioritize, and organize effectively in a fast paced work environment.
  • Must be able to work with extreme attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of C#/.Net framework (not core however that’s a positive)
  • Strong knowledge of web development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Familiarity with a frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, proficient in MSSQL.
  • Working knowledge of version control systems and Git
