Description

This position will support (and be supported by) the Service Assurance team. The Service Assurance Technician will troubleshoot and provision Whidbey Telecom products and services which include: voice communications, high-speed Internet, alarms & security systems, plus the latest in consumer and entertainment technology. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task comfortably while being responsible for verifying and processing service orders containing service installs, changes, and cancellations as well as receive calls from internal customers to answer questions regarding items in the workflow.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO:

  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize complex software programs.
  • Execute service orders for all types of products:
    • Document and record customer, facility and equipment information.
    • Validate service order and facility information to prepare orders for dispatch and installation.
    • Provision service and verify functionality across multiple systems.
  • Discuss and sell technical products and solutions.
  • Proactively participate in and recommend process improvements.
  • Operate as a positive team member.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have excellent people skills and enjoy helping others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of prior customer service or retail experience.
  • 1 year of prior technical training or support, preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly computer literate with the ability to quickly learn software applications.
  • Candidate must speak and write fluently in English.
  • Test results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company standards
  • Pre-employment and ongoing drug screens required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA.
  • WA State driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Pass background check.
