Description

The Ascentis Operations Support Engineer, reporting to the Support Services Manager, Hardware, is responsible for the assembly and testing to fulfill orders. Manage activities engaged in receiving, transporting, stacking, filling, shipping, and maintaining stock records in warehouse. Manage inventory, labeling and packing of materials or products.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

Inventory Control

  • Manage stock control: receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system
  • Conduct inventory and maintain inventory at proper level and responsible for inventory cost
  • Prepare inventory forecast to work with vendors
  • Provide recommendation of non-useful items and declare surplus
  • Suggest items to be re-ordered
  • Planning, Organizing and Controlling of Warehouse’ overall operations
  • Issue Inventory report, IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, goods age report, consumption report to Supervisor

 

Shipping

  • Package finished product for shipping (wrapping, boxing, labeling)
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out
  • Manage and maintain of warehouse items (Boxes, warehouse, supplies, shipping supplies, …etc)
  • Deliveries to post office, UPS store, or warehouse machines for repairs

 

Receiving

  • No damaged raw material is accepted
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete daily logs
  • Clean and maintain working area

 

Other duties as assigned

  • Support any company events and sales activities logistics
  • Support general office support
  • Program and test the timeclocks (hardware) prior to shipping to each client
    • Update clock app to the newest version
    • Connect clock to specific client ID and set up to clients specific needs

Education/experience/technical considerations:

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
