Description

GENERAL FUNCTION: The Sales Manager will be a working partner of a team that will have responsibilities assigned to them by the Site Operations Manager including solicitation and securing of 50-70 off-site sales outlets in the service area surrounding the ISDRA, working with reseller businesses to refine and expand sales, design of promotions and advertising for the sales channels, working with BLM stakeholder groups to improve coordination on major holiday events, maintain reports and other correspondence as directed by Site Operations Manager and fielding customer inquiries. The Sales Manager may operate out their home and vehicle and maintain daily shift communications with the Site Operations Manager. High degree of responsibility and accuracy in maintaining sales channel communication, attending to consumer show preparation, and establishing the value-added positioning of the new operations is expected. The Sales Manager will be preparing reports on the computer, maintaining secure transactions and use written and verbal communications skills. The general schedule will be variable and include holiday weekend assignment. Some seasonal variation should be expected.

 

JOB SEGMENTS:

  • Work in a safe manner at all times. Know and understand the Companies Work Safety Rules. Actively support the ongoing reward & incentive plan to ensure personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
  • Know and understand the required phases of the Operation Plan. Will perform duties as follows:
  • prepare and refine the Marketing and Sales Plan for the operation;
  • solicit off-site sales outlets; manage the promotion and point of sale for off-site resellers;
  • prepare show displays and attend SSSS consumer shows with BLM;
  • establish contacts with BLM stakeholders including ASA to keep communications open;
  • design and promote on-site value-added activities to assist Field Staff Team members in their role of collections;
  • work with General Manager to create a fun and exciting work atmosphere
  • Coordinate with permit suppliers and online subcontractor to assure all sales channels have adequate inventory.
  • Responsible for properly checking in all returned equipment and tools, properly checking out supplies and accounting for those supplies that are not used.
  • Maintain logs of vehicles and equipment use and service records.
  • Responsible to know and understand the established rules of operation and upkeep as defined by the General Manager.
  • Responsible to know, understand and follow the established rules and standards for personnel including safety procedures, personal grooming standards, and employee parking. Should also be cognizant of the condition of each park facility reporting any hazards or safety concerns through channels.
  • Be a friendly and helpful resource for phone inquiries and to referrals from BLM operations staff. Be knowledgeable about visitor services and amenities in and around the ISDRA.
  • Comply with the company communications practices, keeping management informed of all incidents on the prescribed forms.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be bondable.
  • Minimum high school education.
  • Must be able to read and write in the English language at the high school graduate level; strong math skills a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing with excellent computer skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass with negative results the random drug testing program of the employer.
  • Must pass Criminal History background check, placement pending.
