Training and Development Manager :

Once program is developed, position moves 50 percent into the construction field hands on working with the Project Managers, Superintendents and employees.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Learning and Development Candidate designs, develops, implements, and maintains learning and employee development training programs that meet quality standards for Kana Companies. Works closely with subject matter experts in various construction disciplines to develop instructional content and supporting materials for new course development, course maintenance and course revisions.

Responsibilities include:

Bring proven leadership abilities including team development, performance and change management, possess clear and effective verbal and written communication skills and exhibit a consistent, positive problem-solving attitude. Thrive on constructive feedback with relentless focus on continuously improving the processes being managed.

Designs and facilitates training programs for Kana Companies that offer employees opportunities for development, growth and advancement. Responsible for all aspects of program development including definition of learning outcomes, organization of content and creation of materials.

Responsible for the design and delivery of our new employee orientation program aimed to improve alignment with the organization's mission, values and culture and to accelerate new employees speed to ramp up and improve retention.

Plays a critical role in the Performance Review process to include manager/employee training and process guides.

Conceptualizes and produces a wide variety of instructional elements to develop and/or enhance course content and instructional material for Elearning/on-the-job and development programs. Plans the overall instructional flow of the course to ensure the content is appropriate, clearly communicated and technically accurate.

Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultation with management and subject matter experts.

Uses instructional design theory, instructional design principles, learning theory, instructional technology and adult learning principles in the development of training and courseware solutions.

Continuously reviews training course curriculum. Monitors and evaluates training activities and program effectiveness. Collaborates with subject matter experts in various construction disciplines to translate complex information and concepts into easy-to-understand presentations and learning materials that are technically accurate.

Researches best practices and trends to make recommendations on company Learning and Development initiatives.and paid time-off.

 
Position Requirements
  • Is bilingual ( English & Spanish);
  • Has a BA degree;
  • Has 5 years previous experience;
  • Is able to develop program from scratch and incorporate with HRIS system;
  • Feels comfortable coaching of management team;
  • Can work a flexible work schedule;
  • Will be a thought partner to HR department.
