Basic Job Function
Load shipments into and out of storage. Take exceptions on inbound shipments. Keep warehouse safe and clean. Work as a team member to take proper exceptions. Wrap and load furniture properly in containŽers. Handle 80,000 - 100,000 lbs. daily in the summer. Handle 30,000 - 40,000 lbs. in the winter. Keep warehouse claims down. Operate warehouse safely and efficiently.
Position Scope
Daily contact with van operators, operations personnel, local service providers and
Customer service personnel. Frequent contact with customers and vendor's representatives.
Specific Job Resonsibilities Include:
- Takes exceptions on inbound shipments;
- Loads storage containers;
- Maintains neat, accurate paperwork;
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs up and up to 400 lbs. in a team carry;
- Required to lift and carry furniture four to eight hours daily;
- Keeps assigned warehouse safe and clean;
- Keeps facility and grounds clean;
- Runs sweeper in and around assigned area;
- Available to work on Saturdays when needed.

Minimum Job Qualifications Required • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Six months to one year household goods and warehouse experience.
• Basic literacy and math skills.
