Job Summary

The IT Support Coordinator is a full-time position designated to provide support to the IT Systems Administration team. This position focuses on ensuring that systems and services work reliably and securely. The IT Support Coordinator manages day to day requests for the Learning Management System, the Student Information System, the Scheduling System, the remote computer software Zoom and other tools and systems. This individual will answer helpdesk tickets and provide input on project documentation. The IT Support Coordinator reports directly to the IT Systems Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

One of the main responsibilities of the IT Support Coordinator is to communicate with end users using the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of their problem. The IT Support Coordinator assists the System Administrators in locating and improving irregularities and performance issues. The IT Support Coordinator gathers data, error logs and user reports to determine areas for improvement and executes accordingly. The Support Coordinator also gathers and organizes data for the System Administration team and assists in any related projects. This position must become familiar with our systems and be able to troubleshoot challenges and obstacles for our users across the country and internationally.

 
Position Requirements

Required Skills

An Associate Degree or two years of college-level course work in computer applications and instructional technology is required. Relevant experience performing the duties of the job may substitute for the educational requirement. Two years of recent experience in a setting working with various types of computer software, importing and exporting data and/or API experience specific to Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS) and/or other educational systems working with faculty, staff and students is desired. Experience with Ed Tech and Canvas (LMS) is a plus.

The coordinator should be an individual who works well with a team, has a strong technological background, is a fast learner of new systems and has a positive approach. The successful candidate should be an independent worker and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. A background in computer science and/or education systems is preferred. This individual will need to be able to work with non-technical customers and know when to escalate issues for assistance. The candidate should be able to remain calm under pressure, have strong written and verbal communication, and active listening skills.
