Description

Prepare and cook food in a quick serve restaurant outlet with a varied menu. Duties of the cooks are limited to preparation of a few basic items and normally involve operating large-volume single-purpose cooking equipment.

  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
  • Operate, clean and maintain large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity, time and temperature.
  • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for menu.
  • Take and prepare food orders from guests and maintain par levels.
  • Serve orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables.
  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
  • Maintain high standard of quality and appearance for all food prepared and served.
  • Follow menu specifications to ensure quality and consistency when preparing each product.
  • Performs routine daily cleaning, maintaining a clean work area throughout shift.
  • Perform table bussing and dishwashing functions as required.
  • Cleaning and organizing china, silverware, glassware, kitchen wares
  • Ability to work all stations to include Cantina, cash register, grill, etc.
  • Prioritizes and organized tasks for speed and quality assurance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
