POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as the primary point of contact for Graduate Rehabilitation Science students throughout their student lifecycle at Moravian College. The Student Experience Mentor is responsible for supporting the student through all phases of the lifecycle including admissions and enrollment, financial aid, registration, academic advisement, and career services. The SEM will develop and manage new initiatives that support increasing enrollment, building better student experiences, and improving retention and persistence. Successful candidates will be incredibly well organized and strong communicators; interpersonally, technologically, and in writing.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain pipelines of prospective students for assigned programs.

  • Maintain a dynamic 360' view of student profiles and provide best-in-class customer service to all current and prospective students.

  • Interact closely with all assigned students (current and prospective) via phone, email, and virtual platforms and develop coaching relationships to drive retention and student satisfaction.

  • Serve as the lead for the department's diversity efforts; contribute to the Strategic Plan for Enrollment Diversity, and collaborate with the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

  • Guide prospective students through all application processes.

  • Provide financial aid support to current and prospective students.

  • Act as a single point of contact to direct students to campus resources.

  • Monitor key indicators and predictive analytic feedback; contact and counsel at-risk students.

  • Prepare performance reports on enrollment funnel, financial aid, retention, and student outcomes.

  • Act as a resource for the Undergraduate Admission Team regarding the Graduate Rehabilitation Science programs.

  • Represent Moravian College at education fairs, conferences, and other off- campus events as assigned. Some overnight travel may be required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the DGA or his/her designee.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: A baccalaureate degree, master's preferred, in an appropriate field. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to thrive in a fast and changing work environment, have excellent collaboration skills, and a proven ability to work as a member of a team. Experience working with integrated technology systems and tools is a plus. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary to respond to a variety of people. Successful candidate should be a team player who can work individually with students, have a commitment to customer service and have the ability to be a trusted ambassador of the One Enrollment Division mission and goals. Requires an ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends in order to best accommodate student needs.
