Description

Assertive Professionals is in search of multiple Counterterrorism (CT) Analysts to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Defense Combating Terrorism Center (DCTC). The CT analyst will provide analytical support to one of the functional areas listed below by conducting research and analysis, produce finished intelligence, populate various databases, and disseminate an array of intelligence products dealing with terrorist networks, personalities, facilities and resources. CT analysts will support DoD senior government leaders, special operations forces (SOF) and special mission units (SMU). A qualified analyst will:

 

Required:

  • Possess an active TS/SCI
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the concepts involved in [one or multiple] of the following counterterrorism intelligence analysis functional areas:
    • Strategic Analysis
    • Network Development
    • Pentagon Support (J22-5)
    • Emerging Threats
    • Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN)
    • Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX)
    • Watchlisting
  • Be able to apply Intelligence Community and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • Be able to work semi-independently with oversight and direction
  • Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Work, PowerPoint)

 

Desired:

  • Current CI Polygraph
  • Minimum 3 years of experience relevant to the functional area with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. An additional 4 years of direct experience, for a total of 7 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of DIA intelligence products including: Defense Intelligence Digest (DID), Defense Intelligence (DI)-Short, DI-Long, and Target Development Cables.
  • Functional area desired requirements:
    • Strategic Analysis – desired degree in Security Policy Studies with a recommended focus in Transnational Security Threats or US National Security Policy
    • Network Development – previous deployment with special mission units supporting F3EA operations
    • CBRN – desired degree commensurate with skill level in chemistry, biology, physics or nuclear science.
    • DOMEX – possession of Arabic, Urdu or other target language skill highly desired.

 

Total yearly compensation: $60,000.00-$65,000.00.


Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications for this position can expect a starting salary at $60,000.00 Candidates who possess additional desired qualifications can expect a higher starting salary, up to a maximum of $65,000.00. Employee's will receive 10% uplift for hours worked outside of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.


In addition, hired analysts are eligible for either a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus OR $2,000.00 cost-reimbursable relocation bonus.
