The ideal candidate will support the Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) program. LCS is an in-service ship program with new ships in construction. LCS delivers capabilities across multiple mission areas and the ability to operate flexibly in the littorals, employing manned and unmanned systems.

We are seeking a Production Planning and Engineering Task Lead to join our team in Washington , DC. The ideal candidate will:

  • Ensure assigned tasks and deliverables are accomplished in a timely manner. Coordinate the efforts of all contractor personnel who are supporting the Production Department.
  • Provide Production Officer Support to both LCS Variants. Assisting with establishment and maintenance of Production Division organization, processes and procedures.
  • Support the Production Officers and Production Directors with EVM Analysis that correlates EVM/CPR data with actual surveillance information (assessing physical shipyard performance and schedule adherence) to provide a complete picture.
  • Develop schedules, strategy and financial analysis.
  • Provide monthly status of spend plans.
  • Coordinate the integration of additional services (both contractor and field activity) as needed to support Production management requirements.
  • Develop inputs to: statements of work for acquisition contacts; PMS 501 acquisition plans and strategies.
  • Work with the Production Business Manager and Production Directors to develop and provide financial and production metrics, analysis, reports, and recommendations on a periodic basis. 6) Work with production personnel in developing presentations, point papers and talking points.
  • Provide Business Management Support, preparing and providing Production Department and Division budget briefings and documentation in support of budget reviews including those with NAVSEA Field Activities.
  • Provide Production Director Support to both LCS Variants in planning, production oversight and analysis of LCS serial production.
  • Provide IMS and Schedule Analysis.
  • Provide Quality Management Support.
  • Provide Industrial Engineering Support.
  • Provide Metrics.
  • Provide GFE/Government Furnished Information (GFI) Management Support.
  • Provide Production Test and Trials HM&E (Support to Both Variants).
  • Provide Delivery to Sailaway Support.
  • Provide Trial Card Management Support.
  • Provide Certification Management.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience with DoD acquisition processes, in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience in/with Production Planning and Engineering relevant to a Navy ship program
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite
  • An active Secret security cleaarance.

Strongly Desired:

  • Direct experience with a NAVSEA shipbuilding program
  • 5 years' experience in/with Production Planning and Engineering relevant to a Navy ship program
