The ideal candidate will support the Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) program. LCS is an in-service ship program with new ships in construction. LCS delivers capabilities across multiple mission areas and the ability to operate flexibly in the littorals, employing manned and unmanned systems. The staff will be headquartered in Washington, DC at the Washington Navy Yard with some staff and travel taking place at work locations in Marinette, Wisconsin; Mobile, Alabama; San Diego, California; Mayport, Florida and Bath, Maine.

We are seeking a Test & Evaluation (T&E) Lead to join our team in Washington , DC. The ideal candidate will:

  • Ensure assigned tasks and deliverables are accomplished in a timely manner. Coordinate the efforts of all contractor personnel who are supporting the T&E Department. Provide the T&E Director with expertise and experience in researching, planning, budgeting, maintaining, conducting and executing T&E for LCS variants. Supervise related Administrative Support.
  • Support the LCS T&E director with expertise and experience in researching, planning, budgeting, maintaining, scheduling, conducting and executing T&E.
  • Provide technical support all LCS T&E documentation and plans, including updates to Developmental Test (DT) I Operational Test (OT) Test Scenarios, Plans and Reports, Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) Management Plans, detailed program plans and schedules, and environmental and safety assessments for testing. Ensure consistency of planned tests with Total Ship Test Program Objectives.
  • Support Financial Management, Analysis, and Reporting.
  • Update (as required) and maintain the LCS T&E Master Plan (TEMP) covering SeaFrames and Mission Packages in support of the LCS Acquisition Strategy.
  • Coordinate and assist in the execution of the LCS Post Delivery Test and Trials (PDT&T) plans.
  • Provide combat systems expertise and experience in researching, planning, budgeting, maintaining, conducting, executing and evaluating combat system integration and test and trial activities.
  • Provide hull, mechanical, and electrical (to include Mission Package support systems) systems expertise and experience in researching, planning, budgeting, maintaining, conducting, executing and evaluating combat system integration and test and trial activities.
  • Review and provide T&E input for acquisition documents (e.g. DAES and SAR) and PEO and program office reporting requirements.
  • Support Ammunition and Target Acquisition.
  • Support Live Fire Test and Evaluation.
  • Update and maintain the Live Fire Test and Evaluation Plan and assist in the implementation of that Program.
  • Provide technical assessments, evaluations and advise the Government on equipment and system problems that arise in connection with or during ship test and trials.
  • Support the Classified Material Handling and Analysis Center.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • 10 years relevant experience supporting U.S. Navy Program Office(s)/Ships in engineering and testing  
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • DoD / Navy ACAT I Program experience 
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite
  • An active DoD Secret security cleaarance.

 

Strongly Desired:

  • 5 years' experience in/with Navy Shipbuilding T&E at NAVSEA
