The ideal candidate will support the Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) program. LCS is an in-service ship program with new ships in construction. LCS delivers capabilities across multiple mission areas and the ability to operate flexibly in the littorals, employing manned and unmanned systems. The staff will be headquartered in Washington, DC at the Washington Navy Yard with some staff and travel taking place at work locations in Marinette, Wisconsin; Mobile, Alabama; San Diego, California; Mayport, Florida and Bath, Maine.

We are seeking a Logistics Lead to join our team in Washington , DC. The ideal candidate will:

  • Support the related New Construction and Post Delivery (Pre-OWLD) tasks of logistics management, maintenance, supply support, technical design interface, facilities, technical data, and personnel as it relates to ships production, permanently installed ship mission systems, Post Delivery and Test & Trial (PDT&T) of the LCS Ships.
  • Provide Financial Management, Analysis, and Reporting.
  • Assist in the continual refinement of LCS LCE&S/Performance Based Logistics (PBL), depot source or repair analyses and the interim support of all new ship systems.
  • Support Total Ownership Cost (TOC) reduction and analysis, planning, and management support during the LCS ship acquisition phases to include maintenance planning, configuration management, configuration status accounting, configuration control, product and technical data, supply support, support equipment, design interface, facilities, and PHS&T.
  • Support logistics resource planning, product development, area support, and supply management.
  • Provide on-site Support Logistics Representatives (LOGREPs) at the LCS Ship Production Yards and at ship homeports for PDT&T support.
  • Support Production and Post Delivery Departments as directed during ship trials (Builders Trial (BT), Acceptance Trial (AT) and Final Contract Trial (FCT) and the resolution of Trial Cards.
  • Review and provide Logistics input for acquisition documents (e.g. DAES and SAR) and PEO and program office reporting requirements.
  • Support Integrated Master Logistics Schedules.
  • Support multiple logistics sources analyses. Analyze Integrated Logistics Support schedules and track Integrated Logistics Support costs and performance for new construction ships.
  • Review LCS Interim Support performance metrics and assist in the evaluation of performance to those metrics that provide support to other areas of logistics management.
  • Support analysis of Initial Sources of Support and PHS&T.
  • Provide Installation and Checkout (INCO) support.
  • Provide HAZMAT support.
  • Organize, participate, and support program meetings, reviews, and conferences at Contractor and government sites.
  • Provide Metrics support.
  • Provide Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) – Cost support.
  • Facilitate, support and participate in IPT and Working Groups, CCB, Provisioning Conferences, ILS Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, and related activities.
  • Provide support for Operating Material & Supply (OM&S) Inventory Management for ship material.
  • Support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Material Shortages (DMSMS) efforts.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Logistics and Configuration Management .
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
  • DoD/Navy ACAT I Program experience 
  • Recent DoD / Navy Contracts experience 
  • Strong knowledge of DoD 5000.02 
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite
  • An active DoD Secret security cleaarance.

 

Strongly Desired:

  • Significant experience in U.S. Navy / NAVSEA programs.
  •  Direct experience with the LCS program a real plus.
