Our four facilities employ a high quality and dedicated workforce that specialize in providing a variety of metal quality processing options to fit customer's needs.   Category Quality Control   Description SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Quality Control Manager is responsible for preventing mistakes or defects in our manufactured products and services by the active promotion and implementation of the Quality Management System. This requires skills in quality engineering, maintenance of certifications, overseeing product quality inspections, calibration controls and continuous improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for conducting daily safety contacts with the laboratory personnel. Promote and enforce company safety policies. Revise and update laboratory manual as needed, which includes creating and revising laboratory procedures. Schedule and maintain equipment and tooling calibrations, preventive maintenance and repairs. Provide support for laboratory personnel to achieve goals and objectives. Effectively operate all laboratory equipment. Interpret specifications to direct lab, quality and plant personnel. Communicate workflow with representatives of each division in order to meet on time delivery targets. Determine adequate staffing levels for laboratory. Effectively train laboratory personnel to ensure all testing is performed at highest standards. Meet with suppliers, customers, quality representatives, or Elgiloy personnel to resolve laboratory/quality issues or problems, as required. Perform reviews of laboratory personnel in accordance with ESM procedures and manuals. Review, approve, and issue lab certifications and test results as required. Responsible for all required ISO, Lab and other quality documentation to meet current accreditations, including investigating and implementing corrective actions. Participate in internal and external audits. Participate in training and certification programs as needed with travel expected 2-3x annually. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Quality in order to meet goals and plans.   Position Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Four years minimum in the Quality/Engineering field Associates Degree or equivalent to four years work experience in a related industry Have good leadership skills Be able to communicate effectively to staff and division leaders Advanced knowledge of lab equipment Be proficient in Microsoft Office Be a problem solver Be able to work in a team Lift up to 20 lbs.
