Description

Job Summary: The Consultant, Advisory Services provides healthcare strategic planning services to clients by directing the data collection, organization, and analysis. This individual is responsible for content management, data analysis, evaluation, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence: Reviews and evaluates market data that influences current and future demand for healthcare services. Evaluates financial models and forecasts new revenues and expenses and develops marketplace strategy by creating possible scenarios and recommendations.
  • Service Line Planning: Evaluates the capacity of existing resources to accommodate target patient volumes for each specialty and services and forecasts providers and spaces required to accommodate projected volumes and targeted resource utilization. Develops recommended actions, presents findings to clients, and works with them in development of an implementation strategy.
  • Master Facility Planning & Programming: Facilitates deployment of data for development of conceptual and architectural programs and forecasts space allocations for targeted providers and service lines. Collaborates with architectural designers and design studio to develop solutions that align with client needs.
  • Project Management: Directs the analytical team in collection, organizing, analysis of data for projects and accuracy of project documentation.

  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date awareness and understanding of best practices, technologies, products/services, events, trends, and regulatory issues that have impact on the healthcare industry and senior living, as well as other related services offered by ERDMAN.
  • Influence & Presence: The ability to conduct oneself with poise, self-confidence and professionalism at all times. Having the ability to win support, gain cooperation and establish credibility with others to directly impact and address their needs and concerns.
  • Strategic Thinking & Planning: The process of maintaining a current knowledge and understanding of global, industry, market, and societal trends and applying them to create long-range options, scenarios, and plans to successfully advance the organization’s mission.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Management or related field; Master’s degree in Health Administration preferred

Certifications and/or Licenses: None required

Relevant Experience & Training:

  • 5-8 years of analytical experience, preferably in healthcare delivery strategy.
  • 5-8 years consulting experience; healthcare consulting experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general healthcare market trends and healthcare environment.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and achieve results in tight timeframes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down processes into logical components and construct clear reasoning and analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access expertise.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a professional, creative, open office environment with business casual attire. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and will average 2,300 hours per year. Great flexibility in schedule is both required of you and returned to you due to our many project deadlines.
  • 60% national travel required.
