Job Description

Quality Manager (Interim Assignment)– Leadership role responsible for ensuring the plant specific Quality Systems are being complied with by all departments. Delegates specific responsibilities, monitors activities, and provides support to team members.


Desired Skills & Experience

  •  Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
  •  Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel within organization
  •  Responsible for developing and maintaining plant “quality support team” to ensure quality metrics and goals are attained:
    • FTQ, Customer issues / Fast Response, Supplier issues, Scrap Reduction
    • Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Assure standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation of products meet customer and TS requirements
  • Gage calibration program
  • Reviews data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure continuous improvement
  • Plays active role on quality management teams within organization
  • Coordinates quality team to insure internal and external support
  • Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge and proven use of problem solving skills; 5-Why, Shainin, Six Sigma
  • Lead/delegate the layered audit activities within the Plant
  • Assure findings are captured and resolved
  • Meet company requirements for timely completion of all subordinates performance evaluations or performance discussions (as required)
  • Ensure personal, associate, and plant awareness and compliance to IATF 16949 Standards and PSB requirements
  •  Assure corrective action(s) are implemented to close all internal / external findings
  • During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Participate/organize/support corrective action activities as necessary
  • Maintain IATF 16949 certification

 

 
Position Requirements

Five (5)  years of automotive quality assurance environment experience preferred

Minimum eight (8) years in a leadership capacity

Manufacturing / Operations / PC&L experience strongly desired

Plastic Injection Mold, Assembly value stream, JIT sequencing knowledge required
