Share Email Opening Title Heavy Equipment Operator  Description Person in this position works in landfill maintenance and is required to have a CDL driver's license in order to operate equipment necessary to accomplish job. This position is heavy operations and off road equipment operations. Operates heavy equipment used for the daily operation and maintenance of the Landfill.   Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.  Must possess a valid CDL driver’s license. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Should be knowledgeable with regard to equipment used. Must have 1 to 2 years experience in driving similar equipment and/or landfill operations.   Physical/Environmental Requirements The environmental working conditions of this position include constantly working outside and around hazardous machinery. Also, position involves frequently working around loud and low noise and high temperatures and occasionally working around low temperatures and vibrations.
